These terms are an agreement between you and Krigstone OÜ, the Estonian company that provides Tessok (“Tessok”, “we”, “us”; see section 16). By creating an account you accept these terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy.

1. What Tessok is, and what it is not

Tessok is a personal budgeting and planning app for web, iOS, and Android. It helps you record and organise your spending, plan budgets and savings goals, manage debts and subscriptions, and understand your finances with the help of AI.

Tessok is not:

  • a bank or payment service. Tessok does not hold your money, connect to your bank accounts, or make payments. Balances shown in Tessok are based on the information you enter or import, and may differ from your bank’s records.
  • financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Insights, forecasts, payoff plans, and AI answers are general information to help you decide for yourself. Check important decisions with your bank or a qualified adviser.

2. Who can use Tessok

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account yourself. Children aged 13 to 15 can use Tessok only when a parent or legal guardian adds them to a Household plan, and the parent or guardian is responsible for their use of Tessok. Some features, such as server-side AI, are available only from age 18. You may use Tessok only for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Your account

  • You can sign in with Google, Microsoft, Apple, or your email address with a passkey or one-time code.
  • Keep your devices and sign-in methods secure. You are responsible for activity in your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.
  • Tell us promptly at support@tessok.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • The information you give us must be accurate, and you must not create accounts for other people without their permission.

4. Trial, plans, and payment

Free trial

New accounts get a 30-day free trial. During the trial, AI chat and scheduled insights, household sharing, and adding receipts by email forwarding are not available. There is no permanent free plan.

Plans

After the trial you can subscribe to a paid plan, monthly or yearly. Current plans, prices, and what each includes (including any monthly limit on AI chat) are shown in the app before you subscribe. Prices include or exclude taxes as shown at checkout.

If we change a plan’s price, the change applies to new subscriptions. Existing subscribers keep their price for their current plan, unless we give you notice of a change as required by law and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Where you pay

  • On iOS and Android, subscriptions are bought and managed through the App Store or Google Play under Apple’s or Google’s terms. Cancellations and refunds for these purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
  • On the web, subscriptions are paid through Stripe.

A subscription bought on one platform gives access on all platforms.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: in your App Store or Google Play account settings for mobile purchases, or in Tessok’s settings for web purchases. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you can withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of buying it, without giving a reason. When you subscribe, you ask us to start the service straight away. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, we refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for the days you already used.

  • Web purchases: write to us from inside the app or at support@tessok.com, and we refund you through Stripe.
  • App Store and Google Play purchases: request the refund from Apple or Google, under their refund rules.

When a trial or subscription ends

If your trial ends without a subscription, or your subscription ends, your account becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view your data, and export it, but you cannot add new data, import, or use AI features. Subscribing again restores full access, with nothing lost.

If an account has no active subscription for 12 months, we will delete it after warning you by email, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Promo codes

Promo codes can be redeemed on the Tessok website only. A code may give a discount or free months, may have an expiry date and a usage limit, has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged or transferred. Promotions on the App Store or Google Play use those stores’ own codes and terms. We may refuse or cancel codes obtained by fraud or misuse.

5. Household add-on and shared accounts

Household add-on

With the Household add-on, you can cover a set number of other people (shown in the app) under your subscription. Each member gets their own Tessok account. Their private data stays private from you, and yours from them. If your subscription ends, members’ accounts become read-only unless they subscribe themselves.

Shared accounts

Any user can share an account, such as a joint bank account, with other Tessok users.

  • Everyone in a shared account can see all of its transactions, receipts, and budgets.
  • Members can add entries and edit or delete the entries assigned to them. The owner can edit anything in the shared account and manage its members.
  • Only share an account with people who are entitled to see its information.
  • If someone leaves or is removed, the entries assigned to them stay in the shared account.
  • If the owner deletes their Tessok account, they must choose the next owner first; with only one other person, that person becomes the owner automatically. The shared account is deleted only when its last member leaves or deletes their account.

6. Your data and content

  • You own your data. This includes your transactions, receipts, statements, notes, and everything else you add.
  • You give us permission to store, process, and display your data as needed to provide Tessok to you and to the people you share accounts with, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You also give us permission to include your data in anonymous statistics about groups of at least 50 people, which we own and may commercialise. We never sell or share your individual data. You can opt out at any time in privacy settings.
  • Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not upload other people’s personal data unless you are entitled to.
  • You can export your data at any time from settings.

7. AI features

  • AI features may run on your device or on our servers in the EU, as described in the app and in our Privacy Policy.
  • AI output, including receipt readings, categories, subscription detection, forecasts, and chat answers, can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review suggestions before confirming them, and do not rely on AI answers as professional advice.
  • Plans may limit server-side AI chat per month. Features that run on your device are not limited.

8. Links to other services

Tessok may show links to other companies’ websites, for example a page where you can cancel a subscription. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or for whether a cancellation succeeds. Tessok never signs in to other services on your behalf.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law or anyone’s rights while using Tessok
  • try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or to bypass security or usage limits
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the app or its data, except where the law allows it
  • send automated or excessive requests, including to AI features
  • upload malware or content that is illegal, abusive, or infringes others’ rights
  • use Tessok to provide services to others commercially

We may suspend or limit accounts that break these rules, in proportion to the problem, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.

10. Support

You can contact our support team from inside the app. Our staff cannot see your financial data unless you approve a specific, time-limited access request in the support conversation, and they can never sign in as you or change your data.

11. Availability and changes to Tessok

We work to keep Tessok available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, improve, or change features. We will give you reasonable notice before removing a significant feature you pay for, and if a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and receive a proportionate refund for the unused part of your paid period.

The app may require you to update to a newer version to keep working when older versions are no longer supported.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in settings. Deletion is permanent after the period described in our Privacy Policy. Export your data first if you want to keep it.

We may end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop providing Tessok. Except in urgent cases, we will give you notice and the chance to export your data.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses caused by decisions you make based on information in Tessok, or for differences between Tessok’s records and your bank’s records.

14. Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app and by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before then.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring claims in its courts.
